Back by popular demand! Join us for the Elora Scotch Doubles Bonspiel, a fun and fast-paced day of curling designed for teams of two. This open bonspiel welcomes any combination of players and is a great opportunity to enjoy the excitement, strategy, and teamwork that make doubles curling so popular. Whether you're trying doubles for the first time or regularly play the format, you're sure to enjoy a great day on the ice. Friends, family, and spectators are welcome to stop by and cheer on the teams throughout the day.
What's Included?
- Register as a team of two
- $140 per team
- Three 6-end games (maximum 50 minutes per game)
- Two draw times: 9:00 AM and 10:15 AM
- Coffee, lunch, and snacks provided
- Open to all experienced curlers
- Open to curlers of all doubles experience levels

- ECC Members: Opens September 12, 2026
- All Other Clubs: Opens September 23, 2026
Scotch Doubles Format
This bonspiel follows Olympic-style doubles rules, with a modified format for our 6-end games.
- Two curlers per team (any combination)
- Each end begins with two stones already in play
- Each team delivers five stones per end
- Player One throws stones 1 and 5
- Player Two throws stones 2, 3, and 4
- Teams may change the throwing order between ends
- Sweeping is allowed, but not required
- No takeouts until the fourth delivered stone
- No Power Play will be used
