Club Policies

Sparing

A full unlimited membership (already paid to play in two leagues) can spare all they want.  Members that only paid for 1 league can spare up to three times in a league.  If you are sparing more than that, you are encouraged to join the league and pay for a full membership, or you must pay $12 after the third time sparing.

Nonmembers are charged $12 to spare; pay before playing and sign the book on the bar.

Website Spare Features  https://eloracurling.com

To be on the spare list, login and  under "membership" click "my profile".  Fill out the  last tab "spare details".

To find a spare login and go to "find a spare" under the "leagues" menu.

Volunteering

Elora is a volunteer club.  As part of your membership you are required to volunteer for 2 shifts.  Most shifts are 3-4 hours.  You must volunteer for a minimum of 6 hours to complete this requirement.  Short shifts are accumulated to make up the 6 hours.  There is no limit on how much you volunteer, so come out to join the fun!

If you decide not to volunteer there is a $150 opt out fee .

Closest to the Pin

This 50/50 type of game, runs each week.  All adult members  names are in the pot.  A number with the corresponding name gets drawn each Friday night.  To enter, pay $2 to the pot and sign the book on the bar.  If your number is drawn you win 50% of the pot, the other 50% goes to the club.  If a number gets drawn that hasn't been paid, the pot is carried over to the following week.

Good Luck!!

League Standings

Wednesday and Thursday night curlers will notice their schedule and league information complete and you can enter your wins/losses to keep the standings up to date.  (Login and then locate "enter scores" under "membership" menu)   Only one person per game needs to update the website.
